Born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Mr. Scott Puro graduated from the prestigious Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York. In 1994, he received a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers College, and then attended Rutgers-Camden School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1998. Mr. Puro served as a staff member and Business Editor of the Law Review. He completed a clerkship with the Honorable Christine L. Miniman, (J.A.D., ret’d) in New Jersey Superior Court – Law Division Civil Part.
Mr. Puro has been with the Firm since 1999, beginning as an Associate and then elevated to Partner in 2006. He focuses his practice on litigation, estate planning and administration, and real estate. Mr. Puro has been recognized as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court, and has prosecuted and defended cases in the New Jersey Superior Court and Federal District Court of New Jersey. Mr. Puro has also successfully argued several appeals before the Appellate Division and Supreme Court, including a reported decision on the matter of Soto v. Scaringelli, 189 N.J. 558 (2007).
Mr. Puro has served and continues to serve on the boards of several charitable organizations. He served as a trustee and corporate counsel for the United Way of Greater Mercer County. He also served as trustee and president of the Friends of the State of Library. He presently serves as a trustee and former board chair of the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey.
He presently resides in Ewing, New Jersey with his wife, son, and three shelties. In his free time, he regularly competes with his canine partner in local and national AKC and UKI agility trials.
